DOCKS ACADEMY PRESENTS:
The Sherlocks
Doors open 7pm.
Support starts 8pm.
With their 2017 debut album 'Live For The Moment', Sheffield quartet The Sherlocks established themselves as key contenders in a new wave of British bands keeping alt-rock and indie vital for a new generation of fans. With their new album โUnder Your Skyโ out now, the band enter a new chapter in their career with the albumโs highly anthemic songs which all have arena-sized choruses, and which deserve to be widely heard and loudly sung.
The Sherlocks headline at the Docks Academy as part of their UK Headline Tour.
Talking about the bandโs new album, โUnder Your Skyโ, frontman Kiaran Crook says, โThe first album was us four in a room. We wanted to make it really raw like the Arctic Monkeysโ first album or Kings Of Leonโs. We wanted to capture the live sound and polish it up a bit. With this one weโve taken it a step further and made it slightly smoother and put more keyboards in. Rather than having the guitars thrashing all the time weโve tried being a bit sweeter with it. It sounds more contemporary, and weโre looking forward to playing tracks from it in the Docks Academy.โ
Accessibility:
We are sorry to report that, due to Covid19's significant impact on our business, we are still not yet wheelchair accessible. Currently, the only way of entering the Docks Academy is via a flight of stairs. However, our mid term plans include a wheelchair accessible lift coming up to a new external balcony which will have level access to the venue, funding allowing. Please rest assured wheelchair access remains our highest priority and as soon as we have reopened with our non socially distanced programme we will look at this in earnest. We are grateful for your forbearance.
